Better than McCain. Worse than Kucinich.

Kucinich? America just elected it's first minority President and your initial thought is "Well, he's no Kucinich"???

That's kind of fascinating...

Yeah. Kucinich would've fixed everything by now, Harwell. You know it's true.

Crane, did you know Michael Crichton passed away? Link here.

I can't even express how incredibly happy I am about this... Although, it's true he's no Kucinich

Not cool, Hines.

Is this how you normally talk to people you don't know? That's kind of fascinating.

No disrespect meant. I just think the odds of finding someone who would say what you said are at such a number that it fascinates me. I didn't know anyone was having Kucinich remorse, but clearly I was wrong.

Harwell, I think you owe anon an apology for insinuating that he was racist for judging a president on policies instead of race. And your comment was dripping with smugness, too.

Great that Obama won - but can he...I would like for him to work from a LEFT of CENTER position versus a Centrist One.

But that depends on grass roots pressure on his admin.

That in the end would be a serious change. Not what I ultimately want but this is still the USA - the Empire.

1) Close down Guantanamo

2) Atleast water down the Patriot Act and other anti-civil liberties legislation, reinstate habeas corpus.

3) Pull out of Iraq and no new bases there..

4) Re-assign ourselves to the ICC, the Kyoto Treaty and the ABM Treaty.

5) Push for stronger SEC regulations.

6) Bailout of homeowners and loosening of bankrupcty laws against everyday people.

7) Taking steps tooward single payer Health Insurance.

8) Continued Separation of Church and State. Re-evlauate tax exempt status of churches.

9) Pull out of Afghanistan (not to escalate war) - fight terrorism through dimplomacy, economic policy and world police efforts coordinating the world as support network.

10) Redoing all of Bush's ridiculous Executive orders and also pushing for more of a legacy within the Intelligence Community - as opposed to staffing these positions with outside consulting agencies.

11) Repealing the Taft-Hartley Act.

And that's just a start...

- PAPA
